~Worn-out Words~

[Verse 1]

What's wrong with me?...
I just don't know myself anymore.
When did I change?...
I keep looking for reason
but there's no more!

This sorrow breaks my will;
Consumes the strength I once held here.
This poison tears my soul...
I keep drowning in my worst nightmare!

[Chorus 1]

Don't tell me that I'm beautiful!
Don't tell me it's okay!
I'm tired of all these wonderful...
Words, words, words!—

Don't tell me that I'm lucky!
Don't tell me it's all great...
Those words were really nice the first time,
But now they're worn-out.

[Verse 2]

What's wrong with you?...
You used to know yourself by heart.
When did you change?...
You were there for me
but now you're not!

I was torn apart by loneliness,
Torture by solitude.
That's what got me to thinking...
What the point?—

[Chorus 1]

Don't tell me that I'm beautiful!
Don't tell me it's okay!
I'm tired of all these wonderful...
Words, words, words!—

Don't tell me that I'm lucky!
Don't tell me it's all great...
Those words were really nice the first time,
But now they're worn-out.

[Bridge]

I'm hearing a lot, but...
I don't see a thing.
Can't you show me what
These words mean –?

[Final]
Please show me that I'm beautiful,
Show me it's okay.
Show me all these wonderful...
Worn-out Words.
You can't just talk the talk -- you have to walk the walk.

Ellipses (...) are pauses.
Dashes (--) are fermatas.
Italics are accents.

The key is probably A minor, but I haven't made up my mind. I think it would sound best acapella, with just a piano as backup.

Also, I have a grammatical question for you. Do you capitalize the second word in a hyphenated title? Is is "Worn-Out Words" or "Worn-out Words"? I tried to do some research online but there was mixed results.

Enjoy. :music:

Though these words may be worn out, this song is very beautiful.
